Missing your Facials? Here’s how strawberries & cream can help….

Ladies, I know it’s been at least 9 long weeks since you’ve been able to hop onto the cosy treatment bed for your last facial with me.

I know from your messages that you’re missing your regular skincare appointments – I’m missing you all too! Which is why I thought I would offer you a fun little lockdown distraction to pamper yourselves with while we are apart.

Here’s a Fruity Face Mask recipe to put the glow back into your complexion – why not make a family pamper session out of it, and for a full on spa experience, I definitely recommend some Fizz to go along with the leftover Strawberries and Cream! Be warned – this is a messy mask, definitely best to lie down whilst it’s on, but the results are worth it, it really tightened my pores and my skin felt so smooth afterwards (and it smells amazing!).

Strawberries are rich in natural fruit acids that exfoliate the skin, whilst the oats polish away dead skin cells to reveal a refreshed, brightened skin. Go ahead and enjoy this treat on a weekly basis until I can see you all for your professional facials again.

Ingredients (enough for 2 masks)
2 tbsp oats
3 large ripe strawberries🍓🍓🍓
1 tsp single cream (plain yoghurt works too)

Method

  1. Using a pestle & mortar grind the oats into a fine consistency, (or put the oats in a sandwich bag and roll over them with a rolling pin if you don’t have a pestle and mortar – I tried it, & it works!).  Mash the strawberries with a fork and combine with oats. Add the cream/yoghurt and mix to a thick paste.

  2. Apply the paste to freshly cleansed skin (avoid the area directly around the eyes & mouth) and leave for 10 mins. Put your feet up and sip on a chilled glass of fizz for maximum Summertime Pamper Vibes.

  3. Remove the mask by applying a little water in the palms of your hands to loosen it, then gently rub away in gently circular movements. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

  4. Apply a generous amount of your favourite moisturiser with firm, upwards sweeps – I used Neal’s Yard’s Frankincense Intense Lift Cream for a gorgeous, award winning moisture boost that strengthens and softens. 🥰

  5. Enjoy that fresh glow – show it off, take some selfies, send me some too!
